Dispel!

The job

You are the dispeller of a five-player group: four friends and you. Packs of enemies put debuffs on the party, pull after pull; every fifth pull is a boss. Remove the ones that are yours before they hurt. The run ends when the first party member dies.

Two buttons

Dispel cleans one party member of everything that is yours (short cooldown). Click or tap the frame, press its number, or hover it and press the dispel key. Mass cleans the whole party at once (long cooldown): the only answer in time to a party-wide debuff. It never touches an unstable one.

Your two colours

Debuffs come in four types with WoW's colours: Magic, Curse, Poison and Disease. Your class removes exactly two of them; the other two are your co-healer's. The two that are yours are shown next to your buttons the whole time.

Read the frame

• Ticking (yours, a pulse badge): hurts on every tick. Dispel at once; the sooner, the more points.
• Bomb (yours, a fuse badge): harmless until the timer ends, then it explodes. The later you dispel, the more points; the last fifth is a clutch.
• Silence (yours, only on your own frame): if it runs out your buttons lock for a few seconds.
• Bait (a colour that is not yours, dimmed): your co-healer handles it. Dispelling a member with nothing of yours wastes the button.
• Unstable (one of your colours, hazard stripes): leave it alone. It fades by itself; dispelling that member sets it off.
• Party-wide (red, on all five): explodes on everyone together. Press Mass.

Double mass

From pull 7 a second party-wide wave may follow a beat after the first. Wait for it, then Mass once to remove both (with a bonus). Press too early and the second wave still comes while Mass is on cooldown.

Nothing is unavoidable

The moments by which your debuffs must be gone are kept further apart than the dispel's cooldown, a member never carries two of yours at once, and party-wide debuffs wait for Mass to come back. Later pulls are faster, with shorter timers and much more damage, so runs end through mistakes, never through damage nobody could have prevented.

Score

Every clean dispel in a row raises the multiplier, up to x5 at 40. Anything that gets through, a wasted dispel or a backfire resets it. A pull with no mistakes is flawless and pays a bonus. Every tenth clean dispel in a row heals whoever is lowest.

Endless and the daily fight

Endless is a new fight every run. The daily fight is the same fight for everyone that day, and you get one try: it is written down the moment it starts, and a fight you leave counts as it stood (so Esc or Leave asks once before it ends your try; the fight goes on while it asks). Afterwards the Daily chip shows your result and opens today's board; a new fight comes with the new day. Today's board lists fights begun signed in: a visitor's daily counts for the week once he signs in, but not there.

Training

The Training chip on the start screen is a 60-second pull in six short lessons: yours, not yours, a bomb, unstable, party-wide, silence. One kind at a time with a word each, no damage, and nothing of it is counted or reaches a board.

Classes and boards

Classes change which two colours are yours and the names and icons of your buttons, not the numbers. Everyone shares one board. Sign in with Discord to appear on it; visitors still play and see where their run would land.
