What we know about you
Aplexo Tools is a fan-made hobby project: games and small tools for World of Warcraft players, made for closed communities of friends and guilds. It is free, it has no ads, and there is no intention to sell or monetise the tools or anything about the people who use them.
Last updated: 7 October 2026
The two-minute version
- You can play without an account. The server then knows you only as a random number in a cookie, and deletes what you played 60 days later.
- Sign in with Discord and we keep your Discord ID, display name and avatar, and your results in the games. That is what the games and the leaderboards run on. No email address, no password.
- Settings, and everything in Spin the Wheel, stay in your own browser.
- Anyone who opens the site can see signed-in players on the leaderboards: name, avatar, scores.
- In the Arena's Square, signed-in players who are there see each other: name, avatar, gladiator and what they are doing. Appear offline hides you.
- In a friends' Discord server our bot posts a daily recap and "took the lead" lines, with names and scores. To stay out: Wowdle, account menu, Discord recap off.
- An account stays until you delete it. Delete my data in Wowdle's account menu removes your account and every result at once. For a copy, or anything else, write to us.
- Also involved: the server's host (OVHcloud, Germany), Cloudflare for the domain, Discord, GitHub for the code, and an AI assistant that helps look after the site. No ads, no trackers, nothing sold.
- Signing in follows Discord's minimum age (13 or older). Fill the Blank is adult humour: 18 and over.
The rest of this page says the same in full.
Who runs this
A private person in Sweden who goes by Aplexo, as a hobby: not a company. To ask a question, or to have your data sent to you, corrected or deleted, message Aplexo on Discord (username aplexo) or write to support@aplexotools.com. What you send is used to answer you and for nothing else.
This page is plain words about what the games' code really does, not a lawyer's text: if something is wrong, tell us. The Link Logs officer tools at this address are one guild's separate, closed project and are not covered here.
What the server keeps
Without an account: a random visitor number in a cookie, and what you play under it. Nothing in it says who you are.
With a Discord sign-in:
- your Discord user ID, your display name (or username) and your avatar, as Discord hands them over at each sign-in, with a small copy of the picture. Discord never gives us your email address or your password;
- when you first and last signed in;
- your results and when you played: guesses, scores, streaks, runs, your Gold Rush career and trophies, your gladiators with the names you gave them and a record of each fight;
- each duel you fought against another player in the Arena's Square, once it is over: the two accounts, both gladiators, who won, and what was staked;
- your choices to stay out of the Discord posts and to appear offline in the Square.
In a room (Wowdle Versus, Before or After Versus, Fill the Blank) your name, score and chat lines live in the server's memory only and are gone when the room closes. One exception: a sentence that Fill the Blank's narrator read aloud stays as a sound file among the 400 latest, and it can contain a name typed at that table.
In the Arena's Square who is there, emotes, invites and whispers live in the server's memory only. A whisper goes to the one player it is for; it is never stored and never logged.
What stays in your browser
Settings (sound, motion, reading voice), Wowdle's own stats and achievements, small notes the games leave for themselves, and everything in Spin the Wheel, names included. None of it is stored on our server, and clearing the site's data in your browser removes it.
What other people can see
- Leaderboards and "just played" lists, open to anyone who opens the site: the Discord display name, avatar, scores and times of signed-in players. The data behind them carries the Discord user ID. Visitors are never listed.
- In a room: the others see your name, your avatar, what you do in the game and what you write.
- Your gladiator: on the board of the Arena's Laurel Road his name, class and race stand beside your account's name and avatar, for anyone who opens it. Pick a name your friends could read.
- In the Arena's Square, once you enter it: the signed-in players who are there see your name and avatar, your gladiator and what he wears, and what you are doing (standing there, on the road, in a duel, watching one). They can watch your duels. With Appear offline switched on nobody sees you there; the switch is remembered.
- In Discord: if our bot was added to a server you are in and given a channel, it posts there a daily recap (the group's Wowdle points with names, a picture with names, avatars and results, the day's champion of each other game) and a line when someone takes a game's lead from another member, with both names and scores.
Names in those posts are mentions that ping nobody. To know who is in the group, the bot asks Discord whether an account that played is a member of that server. It does not read messages and does not fetch the member list.
To stay out: signed in, open Wowdle's account menu and switch Discord recap off. That covers the recap and the lead posts, in every server. Posts already made stay in the channel until someone removes them: ask us or a moderator there.
Playing inside Discord
Opened inside Discord (an Activity), the games run in a frame that Discord serves, so everything between you and our server passes through Discord, under its own privacy policy. Signing in there gives us the same three things: ID, name, avatar. While the Activity is limited to a few servers, Discord also asks your leave to tell us which servers you are in: we check that list against the guest list once and do not keep it. Discord also tells the page which server and channel it was opened in, so people in one channel can share a room, or stand in the same Square of the Arena. Which channel that was is not written down.
Cookies, addresses and logs
- Cookies: at_session keeps you signed in for 30 days, or holds your visitor number for up to a year. at_state lives for ten minutes while you sign in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, and nothing on our pages loads from another site.
- Your IP address is used to stop floods of requests: held in the server's memory, never written to the database, gone when the service restarts at the latest. We keep no list of page visits. When something breaks, the web server's error log can contain an address.
- The games service logs a line with the Discord ID when an account signs in, is deleted, takes a lead the bot posts or is turned away from the Activity, and when asking Discord about it fails. A sign-in that fails inside Discord reports the kind of device, app and browser.
- Logs have no fixed lifetime: the system drops the oldest lines as they fill up.
Who else is involved
- OVHcloud rents us the one server it all runs on, in Germany. The database lives there, and so do our own safety copies of it: one is made every night and one before each update of the site, and each is kept for seven days (eight at the very most), on that same server and nowhere else. Should a night's copy ever fail, the older ones stay until one works again. A backup the host makes of the server holds it too.
- Cloudflare looks after the domain name (DNS): it tells your browser where the site is, and that is all. When you play on the website, what you send and what you get goes straight between your browser and our server, not through Cloudflare (inside Discord it passes through Discord, as said above). Cloudflare has no access to the database.
- Discord, a company in the United States: the sign-in, the games played inside Discord, and the bot's posts. Our server fetches avatars from Discord, so our pages never make your browser call Discord unless you sign in or follow a link.
- GitHub holds the code, in private repositories. The database is not in it.
- Anthropic: the site is built and looked after with its AI assistant, Claude. When it helps find a fault on the server, the log lines or database rows it reads pass through Anthropic, a company in the United States.
Nobody else gets your data. Nothing is sold, rented, traded or used for advertising, and no profile of you is built.
How long, and how to delete it
- Your account and results stay until you delete them or ask us to. Nothing of an account expires by itself.
- To delete: signed in, open Wowdle's account menu and choose Delete my data (Delete account in Kick! and Dispel! does the same). Your account, the avatar copy, your choices (the recap, appearing offline) and every result in every game are removed at once, for good. A duel goes from the other player's list too; a thing he won from you stays his, without your gladiator's name.
- Out of its reach: posts the bot already made in Discord, log lines with your Discord ID, and our safety copies of the database: a copy made before you deleted still holds your data until it is seven days old (eight at the very most) and is removed. A backup the host made of the server lasts until it is overwritten.
- Visitors: your results hang on the cookie's number alone. Clear the cookie and nothing links them to you; we could not find them for you either. They do not stay for good: once a day the server deletes what a visitor played more than 60 days ago (Kick! and Dispel! runs, and a gladiator that never finished a fight, after 30 days). A gladiator counts from the last time it was played; a Gold Rush career from the last time it was played or from the end of its four-week season, whichever is later. A visitor's savings and trophies go with the last career. The safety copies hold a deleted row for up to a week more (eight days at the very most).
Your rights
You can ask what is stored about you and get a copy, have it corrected or deleted, or object to a use of it, such as the Discord posts. Write to us and we answer within a month. Your name and avatar are whatever Discord says: sign in again and they are up to date.
If you live in the EU and think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to your data protection authority. In Sweden, where this is run from, that is IMY (imy.se).
On what grounds, in plain words: your account, results and cookie because you asked to play and be ranked. The flood guard, the logs, the server's checking of every result and the Discord posts because we have a fair interest in a site that stays up, boards that are honest and a daily scoreboard for a group of friends, which you can switch off for yourself.
Age
Signing in needs a Discord account, so Discord's minimum age applies: 13, or older where your country sets it higher. The games are not made for children, and Fill the Blank is adult humour, for 18 and over. We do not check ages. If you know of an account of a child below Discord's age, tell us and it is deleted.
Voices
Fill the Blank's narrator and the Arena's announcer are computer voices made on our own server; the announcer's lines are fixed sound files. Nobody's voice is recorded and no game uses your microphone or camera. With the narrator off, Fill the Blank can use a voice built into your own device instead.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. 7 October 2026: rewritten from the code to cover the newer games, the lead posts, playing inside Discord, logs, backups and who else is involved; and later that day: our own nightly copies of the database and how long they are kept, visitors' results deleted after 60 days, and what Cloudflare does said exactly; and that evening: the Arena's board and its Square.
