The rules of the house

Aplexo Tools is fan-made, for closed communities: games and small tools that a World of Warcraft player built for friends and guilds. There is no intention to sell or monetise the tools. All credit for what they build on goes to each respective third party.

What this is

Aplexo Tools is a hobby project run by a private person in Sweden who goes by Aplexo. It lives at aplexotools.com and as the "Aplexo Tools" app on Discord: a sign-in, a bot that posts daily results and lead changes in a friends' channel, and the games opened inside Discord. The games are Wowdle, Kick!, Dispel!, Fill the Blank, Before or After, Deathroll, Gold Rush, Gladiator's Arena and Spin the Wheel.

It is made for closed communities: groups of friends and guilds. It is not a business and it earns nothing: no advertising, no purchases, no subscriptions, no selling of data. By using it you accept these rules.

Using it

• You can play without an account. Signing in goes through Discord, so Discord's terms apply to your account, including its minimum age (13, or older where your country sets it higher).
• Fill the Blank is adult humour, for 18 and over.
• Play fair: no bots or scripts playing for you, no tampering with requests, no second identity to look up an answer or to climb a board.
• Be decent in rooms and chats: no harassment, no hate, nothing unlawful. Treat the others the way you would at a table with friends.
• No names that are abuse or that pass you off as someone else. That goes for guest names, table names and a gladiator's name.
• Do not try to break, overload or get into the site, the server or other players' accounts.

Results, rooms and accounts that break these rules can be removed, and a player who spoils it for others can be kept out, without warning.

What you write

What you type in a room (chat lines, a name) stays yours, and you answer for it. It is shown to the people in that room, held in the server's memory and gone when the room closes: we do not keep it or use it for anything else. The one narrow exception, a sentence read aloud by Fill the Blank's narrator, is described on the privacy page. Scores and runs are kept for the boards, as that page says.

Credit where it is due

All credits go to each respective third party. In particular:

• World of Warcraft, Warcraft and everything from that world (names, icons, quotes, characters, places) are trademarks and copyrighted works of Blizzard Entertainment, used here as fan content. Aplexo Tools is a fan project: it is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment.
• Game facts were checked against the game's own data tables (as published by wago.tools) and Warcraft Wiki (warcraft.wiki.gg), and the icon files were collected from Wowhead's icon server. What they show is Blizzard's.
• Fill the Blank: card text from Cards Against Humanity (cardsagainsthumanity.com), used under the Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0 licence, as collected by JSON Against Humanity (crhallberg.com/cah), with typos fixed and markup removed. The card text stays under that licence, which allows only non-commercial use. Fill the Blank is a free fan-made game: it is not affiliated with, made, sold or endorsed by Cards Against Humanity. The WoW pack and the characters were made for this site.
• Gladiator's Arena: the 3D figures and props are KayKit packs by Kay Lousberg (kaylousberg.com), and the creatures come from Mesh2Motion. Both are given to the public domain (CC0) and were adapted for the game.
• three.js (MIT licence) draws the 3D scenes of Kick!, Dispel! and Gladiator's Arena.
• The fonts are Inter and Sora (SIL Open Font License 1.1: Inter, Sora).
• The voices of Fill the Blank's narrator and the Arena's announcer are made with Kokoro (Apache 2.0 licence).
• Discord is a trademark of Discord Inc. Signing in, the bot and the Activity use Discord's services under Discord's own terms; Aplexo Tools is not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord.

No promises

This is a hobby, offered as it is. Games can change, scores and leaderboards can be reset, rooms end when the server restarts, and the whole thing can pause or end without notice. As far as the law allows, there is no warranty of any kind and no liability for anything lost through using it or through it not working. Rights that the law gives you and that cannot be signed away stay yours.

Changes

If these rules change, the date at the top changes with them. 7 October 2026: added the newer games, the rules for names, what is yours in a room, and the credits for Gladiator's Arena, the voices and the card collection.
